Dormitory Overview

International students electing to reside in on-campus dormitories are provided with fully furnished, single or double occupancy rooms, and common rooms with many modern amenities. Dorm students receive tutoring and 24 hour assistance included in the price of tuition.

Notre Dame High School is a coeducational Catholic Secondary School, located in the beautiful Finger Lakes Region of New York State. Considered to be the region’s premier college preparatory high school. Notre Dame has a 59-year history of academic excellence, service and faith formation. With a student body of 357 and a favorable student-to-faculty ratio of 9 to 1, our students have the advantage of one-on-one interaction with teachers dedicated to nurturing their personal and education growth. Students are guaranteed more individualized attention, time and flexibility to dig more deeply into subjects and pursue individual projects, preparing them for the rigors of college coursework. Allison graduated from New York University with a master’s degree in International Education. She has been a Resident Coordinator at Notre Dame High School since the Fall of 2016. Before moving to New York, she was a History teacher in Pennsylvania and worked in an International Residence Hall in London, England. Working with both secondary and post-secondary students has allowed her to understand what the students want to gain from their high school and college experience and how they navigate the process of living away from home.

Since its establishment in 1966, Archbishop Ryan High School, named for the founder of America’s first Catholic school system, has been the hub of educational, social and cultural life in Northeast Philadelphia. The largest Catholic High School in Philadelphia, it sits on 50 acres of open land, and boasts almost 1,500 students, including representatives of more than twenty countries. Archbishop Ryan is the Archdiocesan Center for the Arts, boasting a full four year program in the performing arts and design. International Students graduating from Archbishop Ryan emerge not only ready for the challenges of university, but part of a lifelong community of learning and service.

A graduate of Kutztown University and an award-winning International Educator, Richard has served as Resident Coordinator at Archbishop Ryan since 2013. A former educator at Shue Yuan College (HK) and educational consultant to Hong Kong University, Richard always strives to repay the kindness shown to him during his time overseas.

Established in 1934 and named after the first American Saint, Neumann-Goretti High School has been the educational and cultural center of South Philadelphia for more than 75 years. Nestled among quaint row houses, but with world-class restaurants just around the corner and top 25 universities a short walk away, Neumann-Goretti is an ideal destination for an international student looking to experience all Philadelphia has to offer.

A mother of two, she is as dedicated to the happiness and success of the international students in her care as her own children.
